Call for papers

The main theme of the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade Conference is "University Sport: Globalizing and Universalizing Participation" within multiple domains and in diverse cultures. The Conference, attended by international experts and professors, will present measures and data resources, data analysis, exploration of theoretical issues, information about the status of university sport as well as the implementation of this information in policy and practice. It explores how university sport can be used to improve the development and promotion of sport. Researchers from all disciplines, policy makers and practitioners from across the globe are invited to participate in the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade Conference. We welcome papers from all related disciplines, values in sport, Sports and Healthy Lifestyle, Sport for socio-economic development and sport-friendly campuses. Join us as we explore ideas, new approaches, and innovative thinking about dimensions of university sport that impact us all. The four sub-themes of this conference are as follows:

  1. Values in Sport
  2. Sports and Healthy Lifestyle
  3. Sport for Socio-economic Development
  4. Sport-Friendly Campuses

 

The research papers will consider the above mentioned topics and priority will be given to those papers developed around one of the four following areas for reflection: dual career, gender mainstreaming, clean sport and fight against doping or promotion of the International Day of University Sport.
